He loves many diverse styles of music like rock, funk, country, rhythm and blues, you name it...and loves to get totally in the groove, making the people rock out and dance it up with driving rhythms and exciting interludes of his unique style of bass playing, influenced by his idols Les Claypool , Geddy Lee, Flea, Cliff Williams, and so many other bass gurus.

Still somewhat new to Idaho and the Treasure Valley, he looks forward to adding all he can to the great music of the local popular cover band Riff Raff, and the all original project: Psallo.

Tom Noack
Drums, Percussion, Coconuts & Vocals

S0349.JPG

Thomas Noack was born in Berlin, Germany. He started his musical endeavor in Hollywood, California in 1978. Influenced by the active European music scene; he mixed his German and American drumming style to create the percussive rhythm that is Thomas today. Having done both studio and live shows with the LA based bands "Hidden Crimes, Dear John, & The Privates" and others. All these talented musicians molded his musical style from Jazz to Rock. Playing the LA club scene like The Whiskey a GO GO, Madame Wongs, & The Roxy to name a few; made his stage performance what it is today. Influenced by drummers of different styles like John Bonham of Led Zeppelin, Jon Farris of INXS, Keith Carlock of Steely Dan and Terry Bozzio of Missing Persons.

Moving to Boise in 2006 was a start of something new. Never playing in a cover band before, this was an adjustment, but playing with Nyne Lyvz made the transition easy. Now being the newest member in RIFF RAFF, he is looking forward to adding energy and style to the already rockin band.

Thomas likes playing live shows and enjoys the energy that the audience brings. The future is bright. ROCK ON!!

Fritz Jones
Lead Guitar & Vocals

S269.JPG

Fritz began playing guitar at age 13, growing up listening to Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Kiss, the Beatles ect. By the time he was 19, he was playing Southern Rock in local bars, helping to put himself through college. Those early experiences gigging influenced him to never pursue his college major, (Art), but rather focus on music instead. By age 22, after moving to Denver Colorado, he was playing hard rock, touring the south and western U.S. on the "circuit". Also while in Colorado he gained experience playing R&B funk, Alternative, and Christian music, and developing an appreciation for the Blues. Moving to Boise in his early 30's, he continued gigging in country and original rock bands, as well as developing knowledge about recording in his basement studio, called The Wrong Note. This allowed him to work on his own music, such as what can be heard on http://www.myspace.com/fritzjones  Recently he began looking for a working cover band, and now Fritz is delighted to be a part of Riff Raff.

Danny has been playing drums and music ever since he can remember. He started on soup cans as a little kid.  With the help of his dad, who is also a drummer, and his desire to play Beatles songs, he stepped up his efforts at age 12.  His major influences include The Beatles, Van Halen, and Led Zeppelin. He gave drum lessons to young musicians throughout high school and also taught himself how to play the bass. Danny has played drums and bass in many forums.  He has played in alternative rock bands, bar bands, jazz bands, state solo contests and all-state honor bands around the Idaho and Washington areas since the age of 15.  No matter the setting or instrument, Danny enjoys playing music for any live audience, anytime, anywhere.
